Venue SIX10 at Spertus Institute

Venue SIX10 is the facilities management division of Spertus Institute for Jewish Learning and Leadership. We manage over 50,000 sq ft in our environmentally-friendly South Michigan Avenue facility, including space rental and event planning and management. We offer stunning architecture, panoramic views and outstanding hospitality for clients ranging from Fortune 500s, non-profits and entrepreneurs to brides and grooms.

Our Facility

The award-winning Spertus Institute for Jewish Learning and Leadership building — designed by Chicago-based Krueck + Sexton Architects — opened in 2007. The building is proud to be the recipient of a number of prestigious awards including the Chicago Design Excellence Award from the American Institute of Architecture (AIA) and the Patron of the Year Award from the Chicago Architecture Foundation.

The facility is also committed to promoting green initiatives with its sustainable design and was awarded a Silver LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.

Sustainable Design. Energy Efficient.

We are powered by 100% renewable energy. We reduce, reuse and recycle:

  • Computer-controlled lighting and HVAC systems to reduce wasted usage
  • Frits bonded onto the glass windows to control heat gain and glare
  • Eco-friendly building materials including low- or no-VOC paint
  • Green Roof with special vegetation to absorb air pollution, collect rainwater, and help cool the building
  • Green Seal Certified cleaning products both non-toxic and eco-friendly
  • Green focused caterers purchase locally and organically whenever possible.
  • On-site compost and recycling systems to reduce event-generated waste by approximately 40 tons per year

Our Staff

  • Rachel Brady, Event Sales Manager

    Rachel is an inspired go-getter with a love for dad-jokes. Rachel joined Venue SIX10 in 2019 and focuses on corporate and weekday events. Her broad experience in off-premise catering, hotels, event planning and décor contributes to her unique ability to plan and execute a wide range of events including conferences, meetings, tradeshows, galas, and more. When not working, Rachel can be found traveling with her husband, Nathan, or laughing with family and friends.

  • Jessica Self, Venue Six10 Sales Associate

    Jessica Self, Event Sales Associate

    Jessica is a Chicago native who joined Venue SIX10 after 10 years in the catering business. Jessica uses her degrees in Event Management and Hospitality Management to help plan social and weekend events such as wedding celebrations, fundraising events/galas, mitzvahs, holiday parties, etc. Outside of work, Jessica loves to spend time with her family, including her pets: Sheepadoodle, Perry, and Dwarf Rabbit, Tootsie.

  • Sheila Cronin, Operations Manager

    Sheila is an environmental design enthusiast with a passion for dance. Her career includes work with the Chicago History Museum, Chicago Field Museum, Art Institute of Chicago, as exhibition preparator, exhibit designer and sound engineer. Since joining Venue SIX10, Sheila continues to expand her knowledge of event operations and is passionate about making truly successful events. Her creativity, innovative solutions and teamwork make this a reality.

Our Location

Venue SIX10 is located at 610 South Michigan Avenue between Harrison Street and Balbo Drive. 24-hour covered self-parking is available at Grant Park South Garage (Millennium Park South Garage) below street level on Michigan Ave between Adams and Van Buren. Vehicle clearance is 6’8”.
